Getting an "educational grant" was such an exciting event as a first timer for attempting to gain money for our dyslexia program. Later, after writing and receiving this district grant, I had the opportunity to write and get a grant from the Dollar General's Back to School grant program. All in all, $5,500 was awarded for our middle school dyslexia writing program.
